"The Many Faces of Frida Kahlo; An Artist's Interpretation": 20 Pencil Drawings with Artist's Commentary Details
The summer of 2013, I drew one drawing of Frida Kahlo in pencil as a tribute to Frida Kahlo, Mexican artist. Because of the amazing response that I received from the public, I continued to draw her image until I had a total of twenty drawings. A commentary for each drawing is included in the book. In January of 2014, the “Many Faces of Frida Kahlo; An Artist’s Interpretation was shown at Arizona Western College/Northern Arizona University, Yuma and later was shown at the Yuma Art Center on July 11, 2014. Soon, the exhibit will be shown in Phoenix, Arizona in 2015. Each drawing took three to four evenings to draw, and each I hold dear to my heart. Each work of art represents a time in Frida’s life.
